Billy Hale, President and CEO, was born of God in 1958. Six months later he was called into Christian leadership. He entered the pastorate in 1965 where he faithfully served for thirty years. During this time he also started three Christian schools, converted three radio stations from secular to Christian, originated and managed nine Gospel singing groups, and owned and operated his own award winning radio station, WPUV, for six years. In March of 1994 Billy was given a commission from the Lord...."I want you to be kind to my Christian Country Artists." In response to this call, in the spring of 1996, he originated the Country Gospel Music Association. CGMA is now the world’s largest Country Gospel organization. It’s purpose is to support and assist Country Gospel artists, assemble them for worship and fellowship, and promote the Country Gospel music genre worldwide.
As a result of his extensive travels, and the assistance of CGMA members, hundreds of new and floundering artists are now serving the Lord through music. His heart is to create the means of putting several hundred Country Gospel ambassadors into full time service here in America and abroad, keep them busy in ministry, and sustain them as the Lord supplies.
